The Key Account Director will be supporting Business Development and the achievement of Sales results within key national retailers and chains. This role will envolve strong collaboration with brand managers, field sales leadership and the commercial lead to bulid the account strategy and to achieve sales targets by brand and retailer.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to);

Drive Sales and Business Relationships

  • Consolidate and track all brand(s) sales targets by week and retailer
  • Track and monitor how the brand(s) within ELC are performing in relation to the retailer and market
  • Collaborate with brand(s) to identify opportunities and strategies to accelerate market share
  • Develop understanding and insights for the brand(s) position by account in collaboration with the retailer to drive synergies, sales and market share
  • Identify and develop ELC position/share/ranking within the key retailers
  • Responsible for building and maintaining long-lasting and new relationships with retailers, driving negotiations, and creating winning partnerships
  • Analyze sales results and benchmarks competitors' activity in order to improve ELC sales activities
  • Create effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to communicate sales results, strategies and key metrics
  • Act as the main point of contact to the retailer's merchant/marketing for all non day-to-day matters
  • Working with each brand to improve by door productivity and profitability
  • Strategic thinking, both branded and corporate
  • Explore new business opportunities (door acceleration) together with the retailer's buying department (in discussion with the brand manager)
  • Lead and collaborate with Key Account Managers to optimize the gross to net sales per retailer, per brand, per month
  • Responsible for the return target for key accounts and create actions in collaboration with brand
  • Take active part in monthly net sales estimates
  • Monitor sales development (sell-in/sell-thru) each month per retailer per channel
  • Develop strong co-op plans in co-operation with the brands per retailer and share the follow up with the brand.
  • Take active part in Brand marketing and sales planning (newness forecast)
  • Build the retailer plan across ELC brands in close cooperation with the marketing team
  • Secure close dialogue with Brand Manager, Brand Marketing, Brand Education and Corporate and internal stakeholers (i.e., Brand team, Account Planning and Supply Chain)
  • Coaching and Development: Provide ongoing strategic direction and support for National Key Account Management
Marketing/Brand Analytics

  • Supporting and promoting the Marketing activation plans agreed with the retailers;
  • Negotiating and securing the implementation of the trade terms per retailer, per brand.
  • Leading and/or participating in presentations to retailers with ELC Brand Teams to launch and leverage new launches and growth opportunities in addition to market meetings
  • Creating sound business decisions based on data presented by Key Account management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in similar or related role. Prestige beauty experience an asset

  • Analytical Mindset - Uses data available to keep up to date on performance and current business trends

  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, negotiation and communication skills

  • Systems: MS Office (Intermediate), BI Systems

  • Ability to relate with different stakeholders and enjoys the fast-paced retail environment.

  • Proactive in problem-solving and taking initiative to analyze, understand and improve business

  • Embraces change and adapts to new Company initiatives/directions with flexibility
