It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:
- This position is responsible for leading a team of Remote Investigators, that utilize remote video surveillance software to reduce losses, and deter theft and fraud activity. This role will prioritize work, act as point of contact for escalations and ensure resources are used effectively. This position is also involved in investigations, surveillances and providing surveillance training to investigators.
- Oversees and manages daily caseload workflow, triages issues, prioritizes work and effectively schedules and allocates resources by leveraging analytical data.
- Trains, develops, and assesses Remote investigators skills and capabilities and documents standard operating procedures, to achieve the best results possible. Supports the development of bench-strength within the Loss Prevention department.
- Supervises Remote Investigators effectively to produce high productivity and high-quality results to reduce and prevent shrink, ensuring that the external theft Loss Prevention program is consistently efficient, productive, and ethical.
- Ensures Remote Investigators are maintaining accurate case files, statistics investigation records and achieving SLA requirements and follow through on utilizing repeatable processes.
- Responsible for creating and providing statistical reporting which includes but is not limited to productivity and case resolutions to the Analytics Manager and Stakeholders such as Manager of Technology and Analytics
- Responsible for ongoing communication with the Analytics Manager and Supervisor and other stakeholders, on all key matters related to Investigations. Examples include processes, progress and case status reports, workflow and prioritizations
- Assists the Analytics Manager with identifying and implementing opportunities for continued efficiencies, training, learning, and development within the team
- Partners with Internal Loss Prevention team in all areas of loss and oversees the handling and containment of highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Works closely with Store Investigations Team & District Loss Prevention Managers, to identify trends and areas of concern where directly associated to loss

Profil recherché

To begin your career with us, we require the following:
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in retail investigations and the use and support of investigative software and exception reporting tools
- Minimum post-secondary education in related field preferred.
- Security license preferred
- Minimum of 5 years as Investigator or similar experience related to investigating external fraud and Organized Retail Theft activity.
- Minimum 2 years in management / supervisory position
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Criminal Code related to relevant offenses and rulings/decision with Proven experience and success in Organized Retail Theft investigations and with Exception Reporting System Software in retail setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management, information gathering and coaching; with ability to influence business partners to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor; bilingualism (English/French) an asset
- Strong investigative methodologies and experience with analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions; demonstrated flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing needs of the business, and changing priorities
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with senior management and positively influence management and staff to act in the best interest of the Company
- Demonstrates management skills including organizational, negotiating, listening, conflict management and information gathering skills. Demonstrated solid people management skills including coaching, providing advice and guidance to Associates in the resolution of problems
