The North American Product Supply (NAM PS) team ensures that 30,000 products annually are purchased and manufactured on time to meet the needs of adidas customers and consumers. This role leads the Canada Product Supply team and drives the optimization of supply at factory to ensure product is available to the market on-time and in full while also mitigating any accumulation of excess stock. This team develops and maintains processes and systems to ensure a high degree of purchase order health, forecast accuracy and inventory turns through ongoing resolution of change requests from the market and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage core team tasks regarding purchase order management including all changes to requested ex-factory dates, changes to expedited shipping modes, monitoring of supplier delay or shortage communication, and executing changes to delivery destination
- Manage conversion of Purchasing Contracts into purchase orders on monthly basis, optimizing destination flow through destination decision postponement strategies
- Encourage team to optimally utilize tools, systems and organizational resources to meet or exceed performance targets related to forecast accuracy, inventory management and on-time deliveries
- Communicate to and educate team regarding ongoing business challenges in an effort to prioritize workload and anticipate future opportunities.
- Partner with Global Supply Planning to highlight trends in supplier performance and lead requests for improvement strategies to improve on time availability.
- Drive actions around excess supply at factory (due to demand decrease) that minimize inventory risk of both raw materials and finished goods.
- Collaborates closely with Finance and Product / Sales Management to develop inventory / purchasing plans to best support sales strategies and inventory turn targets while operating within Open-to-Buy budgets
- Responsible for the overall systematic integrity of product supply / purchasing information
- Identify and define goals and objectives for the team that align with corporate objectives; determine the needs of each team member and sets individual goals and targets to expand their understanding/knowledge
- Explore opportunities and solutions for continuous business improvement and establish implementation plans (including defined timelines and milestones, supporting data, project briefs/specifications and management presentations)

Profil recherché

- Strong understanding of supply/demand models, production forecasting, purchasing practices, terminology, finance and supply chain principles
- Leader with proven ability to work and lead cross-functionally to achieve goals and objectives
- Solid business acumen with a strong understanding of profitability drivers
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence others and build consensus with both internal and external partners at all levels of the organization
- Team player with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives
- Ability to coach, guide, manage and develop direct reports
- Ability to anticipate problems, offer solutions, develop strategy and address issues within the purchasing process in order to meet financial targets
- Advanced MS Office skills and ability to learn and use internal databases
- ERP or SAP Experience preferred
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year degree from college or university required with emphasis in supply chain management, logistics, or finance preferred
- 4-6 years related progressive work experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree
