Le superviseur du contrôle de l'inventaire aidera le directeur du contrôle de l'inventaire dans l'ensemble des opérations quotidiennes du département y compris le maintien de l'exactitude des stocks, de ses mises à jour et de tous les contrôles connexes, en veillant à l'achèvement opportun et précis des responsabilités de clôture financière mensuelle (fin de mois et fin de trimestre), en aidant à la coordination des comptages cycliques/des inventaires physiques dans le centre de distribution, en soutenant tous les flux et initiatives d'inventaire de l'entreprise, des magasins de détail et du centre de distribution.

Rapprocher l'inventaire entre les différents systèmes ERP (RLM, JDA et WMI-PKMS).

Le superviseur du contrôle de l'inventaire supervisera une équipe chargée de bien gérer les activités de contrôle d'inventaire pour le centre de distribution de Montréal. Le titulaire du poste travaillera en étroite collaboration avec d'autres services pour mettre en oeuvre des programmes visant à réduire les pertes d'inventaire.

Préparer des rapports récurrents d'analyse des stocks liés aux opérations, à la vente au détail, aux ventes, aux achats, au service à la clientèle, à la conformité réglementaire et à l'expédition. Réaliser des projets spéciaux sur diverses questions, selon les besoins.

Job Summary

The Supervisor of Inventory Control will support the Manager of Inventory Control in the overall daily operations of the Inventory Control Department, including maintaining accuracy of stock, its updates and all related controls, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close responsibilities (month end and quarter end), assist in coordination of cycle counts/physical inventories in the Distribution Center, support all corporate, Retail stores and DC inventory flows and initiatives. Reconcile inventory between various ERP systems (RLM, JDA, and WMI-PKMS).

The Inventory Control Supervisor will oversee a team to complete the Inventory Control activities for the Whittier Distribution Center. The position will work closely with other departments to implement programs to reduce loss of inventory.

Prepare recurring inventory analysis reports related to operations, retail, sales, purchasing, customer service, regulatory compliance, and shipping. Complete special projects on various issues as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for the following job duties, as well as additional responsibilities not listed as assigned:

  • Establishes and executes Cycle Count Schedule in compliance with corporate accounting objectives
  • Coordinates and oversees daily cycle counts of inventory assets.
  • Investigates/reconciles cycle count discrepancies (i.e., shortages and overages).
  • Audit's process and paper flow for errors and inconsistencies that affect inventory accuracy.
  • Maintains cycle count records to be reviewed by management
  • Provides weekly reports to management on cycle count activity, discrepancies, and shrinkage.
  • Suggests process improvements to increase inventory accuracy and improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Communicates and interacts with multiple departments.
  • Reviews and monitors the timely confirmation and accuracy of inbound inventory, outbound shipments, and book adjustment transactions to ensure accurate inventory management records.
  • Coordinates the activities associated with product recalls upon request.
  • Monitors the activities associated with customer return shipments including overages, shortages and damages; communicates concealed damages to manufacturer.
  • Coordinates damaged and defective products, ensuring it is accounted for and properly handled by dumping, reconditioning, or returning to producing plant.
  • Supervises all inventory control personnel, if any, to achieve objectives relating to inventory control management, provides communication and suggests inventory improvements to supervisor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Effectively communicate with associates and customers in person and via telephone, verbally and non-verbally to accomplish necessary objectives
  • Ensure compliance with existing and develop/document new policies and procedures governing by SOX. Partner with Corporate Inventory Control to ensure that policies are in accordance with internal accounting practices and SOX narratives.
  • Develop and direct process improvement initiatives and monitoring controls within functional area. Escalate and resolve issues proactively.
  • Develop a highly skilled and well-trained staff to ensure the efficient and effective management of all function, with the ability to support a rapid-growth company, always striving to "raise the bar"
  • Develop necessary inventory-system changes as business requires
  • Coordinates and oversees the quality audit program for reserve to assist in maintain inventory accuracy when cycle counting
  • Works with all departments to ensure aged cases are located and available for allocation
  • Daily and Weekly Inventory transfers for CN1
  • Partners with loss prevention on possible shrinkage
  • Partnering with Finance to ensure labor hours are tracked for VAS projects and charged to correct department (GL)
  • Communicates and interacts with multiple departments including those outside of DC (IE. Finance, Customer Service, internal audit)
  • Create Cycle Count Task Rules once a Quarter
  • Keep Track of the Cycle Count Accuracy to ensure were meeting the Scorecard Metric
  • Keep Track of Employee Attendance Points
  • Review and Approve Timecards in Dayforce
  • Address Employee Performance Issues with Manager
  • Submit ERF forms if requested by HR

EDUCATION / EXPERINCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years inventory control experience in a high-volume wholesale distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related area is desirable
  • Experience with RLM, AS400 and PKMS WMS systems a plus
  • Capable of growing beyond current role
  • Prior managerial/supervisory experience
