Experiential Store Experiential Stores is lululemon's full expression of the SweatLife. A full expression store will have programming beyond retail. While maintaining our roots in yoga and personal development, we will create spaces and experiences that will allow us to be part of our guest's daily ritual and support our them in living the life they love. Our first full expression Experiential Store will be in Lincoln Park, Chicago IL.

The General Manager You manage the Experiential Store building. This encompasses all retail, sweat, treatment, events, vendor relationships and more. You drive vision and strategy for the full building to achieve results for the business today and tomorrow. You are accountable for ensuring a premium guest experience is occurring at all points of the building. You manage the retail Store Manager, Operations Experiential Manager, Curator and all vendor contracts in the building. You are a people leader, developer, coach, mentor and get your work done through others. You are comfortable and thrive at problem solving and innovating to exceed guest expectations.

Core accountabilities of a GM

- Increases building management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and developing managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.

- Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing annual strategic plans, managing budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections

- Builds company image by collaborating with guests, local teams, community organizations, and employees

- Brings strategy to life through execution, adaptation, ideation and providing continuous feedback for improvement

- Maintains quality guest experience by establishing and overseeing organizational standards

- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies

- Minimum 2 years multi-unit management experience required

- Strong project management skills

- Proven ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with other key decision makers in a complex matrix environment

- Consumer experience with a youthful, cutting edge, influential brand

- Self-motivated and can work with a lot of autonomy, yet thrive in collaboration and team work
