Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Sales Director – Private Label is responsible for driving substantial new business growth across Canada and the United States. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships with leading brands and retailers in outerwear, lifestyle apparel, and uniform categories. The Director will champion our full end-to-end solution from design and development to domestic manufacturing, import sourcing, and distribution to generate USD/CAD $5–8M in new revenue annually.

Responsibilities
  • New Business Development:
Acquire and develop new private-label customers across Canada and the U.S., targeting major retailers, specialty boutiques, and emerging DTC brands.
  • Comprehensive Solution Selling:
Promote our complete one-stop service offering including design, tech pack development, sample execution, domestic production capabilities, import sourcing, and distribution.
  • Pipeline Management:
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline of 100+ active prospects; track progress from initial outreach to program delivery.
  • Seasonal Concept Presentation:
Present seasonal concepts, mood boards, fabric stories, and technical packages to buyers and product teams.
  • Internal Collaboration:
Partner closely with Maria, Sonny, and our production, technical design, and sourcing teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of all programs.
  • Travel Requirements:
Frequent travel across North America, including Vancouver, Montreal, New York, Los Angeles, and key industry trade shows (MAGIC, PROJECT, Outdoor Retailer, etc.).

Profile

  • 8 to 15+ years of proven success in private-label apparel sales, ideally with a focus on outerwear or technical/lifestyle apparel.
  • Existing, active relationships with buyers at top-tier brands and retailers, including:

  • Moose Knuckles
  • Backcountry
  • REI

  • Kith
  • Aimé Leon Dore
  • Strong understanding of both domestic (Made in Canada) and import (global sourcing) production models.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow multi-million-dollar private-label programs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
